Business-first discovery
Connect customer outcomes, operational constraints, systems, data, risk, and user journeys before choosing what to demonstrate or prototype.
Rex Joseph Piloton — a hands-on enterprise sales engineer who turns customer problems into compelling AI agent demonstrations, credible technical evaluations, and deployable solution paths. An application for Enterprise Sales Engineer, APAC at Sierra.
I bring exactly what this role asks for: enterprise technical sales, hands-on demo and proof-of-concept work, executive and engineering credibility, and current field experience with customer-facing AI agents.
Connect customer outcomes, operational constraints, systems, data, risk, and user journeys before choosing what to demonstrate or prototype.
Design tailored demos and proofs of concept that test real journeys, integrations, multilingual behavior, edge cases, handoffs, and measurable success.
Lead technical sales conversations from practitioner to executive level, aligning Sales, Product, Engineering, Security, and customer stakeholders around a clear path forward.
Across Ada, AI Rudder, Zendesk, and Kasisto, I have seen enterprise AI evaluations become much more useful when we stop treating a fluent conversation as the outcome. The question I bring to a customer is whether an agent can complete a real task, in the language and channel the customer actually uses, with a clear path when it cannot.
Start with a customer request that crosses knowledge, policy, and a real system. Define the successful resolution, the handoff, and who owns the outcome before building the showcase.
My English/Tagalog voice pilot reinforced how customers switch languages, accents, and context within a single conversation. Test those turns, interruptions, and recovery paths with regional speakers, not just scripted prompts.
A credible proof of value includes representative conversations, explicit evaluation criteria, and a review of failures. Track resolution, handoff quality, and the product or operational work required before expanding the rollout.
An Enterprise Sales Engineer earns conviction by understanding the customer journey, translating it into technical requirements, building the right proof, testing it under local conditions, and making a clear recommendation about readiness. That is the work I want to do at Sierra.

A founding APAC presales practitioner at Ada (ada.cx), partnering with enterprise brands on AI agents, customer experience, and voice AI evaluation.
Led technical strategy for enterprise and government customers across critical event management, risk intelligence, and resilience.
Positioned multilingual Voice AI for enterprise customer engagement across regions.
Enterprise customer experience, omnichannel service, and technical sales across APAC.
Regional technical sales leadership for a conversational AI platform serving financial institutions.
Owned regional presales and technical services resourcing for data quality and targeting; joined Experian as Senior Technical Consultant in Jul 2016.
Enterprise buyers do not adopt customer-facing AI because a scripted conversation sounds impressive. They adopt it when the technical proof connects a valuable customer journey to their systems, policies, operating model, and measurable business outcomes. That is the work I want to do as Sierra’s Enterprise Sales Engineer for APAC.
I bring more than 15 years in customer-facing technical roles across software engineering, professional services, solution architecture, and enterprise presales. Today, as a founding APAC presales practitioner at Ada, I lead technical discovery, tailored demonstrations, architecture discussions, and evaluations for customer-facing AI. Previously, I supported Everbridge’s largest APAC CEM Suite deal and led Project Uplift, contributing to an 8% increase in deal closure. At Zendesk, AI Rudder, and Kasisto, I built and presented enterprise demos, scoped pilots and integrations, and translated technical capability into outcomes understood by executives and practitioners alike.
My interest in Sierra is grounded in direct field experience. In one unnamed enterprise evaluation, I built a bilingual English/Tagalog Voice AI proof of concept at Ada while competing in a process that included Sierra. Sierra won. Seeing that evaluation from the other side strengthened my understanding of what sophisticated buyers value: strong journey design, multilingual behavior, technical fit, trust, and readiness to deploy.
I would bring Sierra a hands-on, customer-obsessed approach: uncover the real business problem, design a technically credible solution, craft a demonstration that makes the value tangible, guide the evaluation honestly, and carry customer insight back to Sales, Product, and Agent Engineering. My leadership experience helps me raise standards and create repeatable practices, but I remain most energized when I am close to customers, builders, and the technical win.
I would welcome the opportunity to help Sierra create trusted enterprise AI outcomes across APAC.
